For the ultimate Halloween outing, we highly recommend either picking or creating a spooky paddling experience. Now, what does this mean exactly? Well, depending on your location, you may have access to local seasonal SUP events; if you’re not sure, try searching something along the lines of ‘Halloween stand-up paddle boarding events near me.’ If you find something that tickles your fancy, then this can be the end of your quest. On the other hand, if you don’t have access to such events or simply aren’t interested in the ones you find, then why not create your own unique experience? Of course, this can be as much or as little energy, effort, and creativity as you wish.
SUP-ing in a Halloween Costume
If you want to have a memorable paddle during the spookiest time of the year, then consider SUP-ing in a Halloween costume! We know it might sound silly, but, if you stop and really think about it, it could also be a whole lot of fun! Plus, if you have any friends or family who love to SUP and have a soft spot for this holiday, then maybe you can talk them into joining you! Either way, it’s bound to be an unforgettable SUP-ing experience.

Another nice and simple way to add a splash of seasonal whimsy, why not bring some festive food and beverages. Naturally, you’re free to pick any of your personal favorite autumn treats. For us, it wouldn’t be Halloween without festive delicacies like caramel and candy apples, apple bread, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice lattes, apple cider, and, of course, Halloween candy. After all, ‘tis the season!
Decorate Your Board with Seasonal Novelties
Last but not least, you can always decorate your board with seasonal novelties such as Halloween-themed waterproof stickers, floatable toys, ornaments, and more. As long as it doesn’t damage your board, and is relatively easy to remove, then just about anything is fair game. In other words, don’t be afraid to feel like a kid again! Nurture your inner child, have some unadulterated fun, and simply enjoy all of the big and little joys that come with Halloween.
Have a Halloween Movie Marathon at Home!
